Its been a long time since the last time i contemplated to start a meaningful position in any stock or investment.
Today i was analyzing some retail food stores, also banks, energy drinks, etc.
The point at which i arrived was very interesting, i was just merely trying to grab them as a short term opportunity to buy and sell at an all time high or close enough.
OH Boy, what a stressful way… i was just stressed about the balance sheet, veryfing competitors, the reason for the sell off, the time frame for it to recover and then sell .… wow it was just too much.
Made me realize my investing style vastly differs from this, im more of a Charlie Munger compounder type of investor.
What does that mean? Im very selective into what i buy, i say no to allmost everything and when i find good opportunities i go all in, this allows for simplicity, to accumulate more shares is the goal, nothing else.
I don´t worry about timing it correctly, i dont worry what next earnings report will say, i mostly dont care about balance sheet (Because i already know its awesome), and worry about when to sell ? What about never.
This type of investing allows for also internal benefits, lower stress levels, more free time to go swimming, exercising, reading, napping. To top it all ? Is also the best form of investing that exists.
Think of holding Costco, Amazon, BYD, Tesla, Home Depot, and doing nothing, but accumulating more shares … The results 10,000% ´+ in ALL of them.
The last idea i want to share with you about this type of investing, is that it doesnt just compete with other types of investing or trading styles, but with everything.
Think of every side hustle, business idea, or else that you could do, and the time, money, and energy that it´ll require, then you have to pair that up against your passive investment, will it yield better results than a 10,000 % ? If not, just keep buying shares and chill.
Billy Murphy from “Forever Jobless” blog stated something along those lines when he was buying “$AAPL stock in 2008-2010 , he said the returns from that investment were so astronomical, he even questioned why was i worried and all busy trying to buy e-commerce stores, or gambling, or any other ideas.
Anyways, Keep it simple stack sats. 😉
